LIVONIA AUCTIONEER WINS MULTIPLE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN ANNUAL CONVENTION AWARDS CEREMONY
Mount Pleasant, Michigan – Professional auctioneer, Ken Lindsay, President and CEO of American Eagle Auction & Appraisal Company based in Livonia, Michigan was victorious at the 55th Annual Michigan State Auctioneers Association convention as the champion of five ‘advertising and marketing excellence’ awards including the prestigious Michigan ‘Auction-of-the-Year award.
“You don’t hear an auctioneer say this too often but right now, I’m speechless. We were up against some major competition so coming out like this is truly overwhelming. On top of everything else, there are thousands of auctions throughout the State of Michigan on any given year and ours was voted the Michigan ‘Auction of the Year.’ I’m honored and grateful for the judges who recognized our effort.” Lindsay said.
There was a total of approximately 180 entries in the 36 categories competed for in the coveted advertising competition. The five ‘Advertising and Marketing’ categories Lindsay won were: Best Company Promotional Item. General Household/Estate Liquidation multi-color flyer, Best Auction Side Show Photograph, Best Business Promotion and the Auction of the Year honors.
The Michigan State Auctioneers Association annual convention is held annually in the month of January. The three-day convention provides continuing education and seminars for new and experienced auction industry professionals alike. In addition, a fundraising auction is held for St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital and the famed bid calling contest to select the champion bid caller of the year.
